Chest Flies
Here are the steps to perform chest flies with cables:
- Set up the cable pulley machine so that the cables are on the lowest setting with single handles attached.
- Stand facing away from the cable machine, grip each handle with an overhand grip, and step forward 2-3 feet.
- With a slight bend in your elbows, bring your hands together in front of your chest, keeping your arms parallel to the floor.
- Pause for a moment at the end of the movement, then slowly return to the starting position.
- Keep your back straight and your feet shoulder-width apart throughout the exercise.
- Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions.
It is important to maintain proper form throughout the exercise to avoid injury and maximize the effectiveness of the workout. Keep your elbows slightly bent, your wrists straight, and avoid using momentum to lift the weight. Additionally, make sure to use a weight that is appropriate for your fitness level and gradually increase the weight as you become stronger. Chest flies with cables are an effective exercise for building muscle and strength in the chest muscles[1][3][4][5][6].
